Telangana: Supporters demand inclusion of Makthal Congress MLA into Cabinet
V Srihari is from the Mudiraj community, and the community members have warned the party leadership not to create hurdles in his path to become a Minister
Hyderabad: Despite Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s clear instructions to leaders not to cross the line, aspirants seeking a berth in the Cabinet continue to exert pressure on party leaders.
After Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, Mancherial MLA Prem Sagar Rao and Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, now supporters of Makthal MLA V Srihari are demanding the party leadership to consider his candidature for a Cabinet berth.
The Makthal MLA is from the Mudiraj community, and the community members have warned the party leadership not to create hurdles in his path to become a Minister.
In a statement purportedly issued by the Makthal Mudiraj Sangham and Makthal Congress workers, the supporters of Srihari claimed that efforts were made to offer an MLC post to Neelam Mudiraj and eventually a Ministry.
However, the AICC was against these plans. Before and after the elections, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had openly announced that Srihari would be made a Minister, but no measures were being initiated, said the statement, which has been shared extensively on different social media platforms.
The community further reminded that Srihari was not at the mercy of any leader to get the MLA ticket. He had the blessings of AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge, and in case the State leadership denied an opportunity for Srihari to become a Minister, it would be responsible for the consequences of the betrayal, the statement read.
