Telangana: Surplus water discharged from Taliperu irrigation project

With the water level close to the FRL of the reservoir (74 metre), the authorities have started discharging excess water over the spillway.

Kothagudem: Taliperu irrigation project in Charla mandal in the district is brimming with flood waters following copious rainfall in its catchment area.

With the water level close to the FRL of the reservoir (74 metre), the authorities have started discharging excess water over the spillway. At present, 2695 cusecs of water is being released downstream.


Similarly there has been good inflow into Kinnerasani reservoir at Paloncha in the district. The water level in the reservoir now is 400.5 feet while the FRL is 407 feet, officials informed.
