Hyderabad: The Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangam (TPUS) on Friday demanded that the State government immediately release the new Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report and pending DAs.
During a meeting held here, TPUS president Vodnala Rajasekhar, general secretary Telkalapalli Pentayya and organising secretary Kanuganti Hanumantha Rao expressed concern that the PRC, which was supposed to be implemented from July 1, 2023, was yet to be released.
The teachers pointed out that although the Central government regularly increases Dearness Allowance (DA), five DA instalments remain pending in the State.
The TPUS representatives said Rs.8,000 crore worth of pending bills related to employees were currently pending with the government. In addition, Rs.2,000 crore in dues related to CPS employees were unpaid.
Due to these pending amounts, teachers were being forced to take loans for their personal needs, children’s education and urgent medical expenses, they said.
Stating that retired teachers were being forced to wait for years to receive the benefits earned through a lifetime of service and were approaching the courts, the TPUS demanded that all pension benefits be released immediately in a single instalment.
