Hyderabad: Bhukya Yashwanth from Telangana has successfully scaled Mount Reo Purgyil (6,816 m), the highest peak of Himachal Pradesh, on 30th August 2025, becoming the youngest mountaineer to achieve this extraordinary feat.
The expedition, sponsored by Granules, lasted for 18 days, beginning on 17th August 2025.
“After days of acclimatization, steep technical climbs, and battling life-threatening weather conditions, Yashwanth and my team reached the summit on 30th August,” Yashwant informed Telangana Today.
“The climb to Reo Purgyil is considered extremely dangerous, involving razor-sharp ridges, rockfalls, unpredictable snowstorms, and one of the toughest terrains in the Himalayas,” he said.
Despite these dangers, Yashwanth and his team showed remarkable courage and resilience.
At the summit, Yashwanth proudly unfurled the Indian National Flag, carrying with him the blessings of the nation.
Sharing a message for the youth, Yashwanth said: “Say NO to Drugs, Say YES to Life, Dreams & Adventure. The real high is in your achievements, not in substances.”
This achievement adds to his remarkable series of climbs, including:
Mt. Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest), Mt. Elbrus (Europe & Russia’s highest), Mt. Kosciuszko (Australia’s highest), Mt. Gorichen (youngest to summit, Arunachal Pradesh), Mt. Yunam, Mt. Kang Yatse II Everest Base Camp trek.
Yashwanth is now preparing for his dream expedition to Mount Everest, as part of his mission “Har Shikhar Par Tiranga” to hoist the National Flag on the highest peaks of all seven continents.
Yashwanth expressed deep gratitude to Granules for their valuable sponsorship and support, without which this expedition would not have been possible.
