Hyderabad: Three workers of the Premier Explosive Company were killed on the spot and four others sustained serious injuries in a blast in the factory  on Tuesay. The injured have been rushed to a hospital here for better treatment. The explosives factory is located in Katepally village in Motakondur village.

Sources say the blast occured in block 18A of the company. There were six workers in the block at the time of the massive explosion, which could be heard kilometers away. The building housing the Block 18A collapsed due to the blast impact.


The dead were identified as G Sandeep, Ch Charan and Naresh. Naresh, died while being rushed to a nearby hospital, while the bodies of two others are not yet found,

The injured were Bugga Lingaswamy, Srikanth, Srikanth and Mahendar. They were rushed to a local hospital in Bhongir and later rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Till last reports came in, villagers of Katepally were demonsrating in front of the factory seeking compensation for the family members of the deceased workers.
