Telangana: Three persons including four-year-old boy killed in road accident in Asifabad
A speeding car collided with a two-wheeler on NH 363 at Mothuguguda, Asifabad, killing three family members including a child and injuring a girl. The victims were traveling for Diwali. Police suspect rash and negligent driving caused the tragedy
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Three members of two related families, including a child, were killed on the spot and a girl was injured when a car rammed into their two-wheeler on National Highway 363 at Mothuguguda village in Asifabad mandal on Sunday.
Police said Jagan from Bendara village in Wankidi mandal, his sister Anasuya (32) and nephew Pragnasheel (4) died on the spot after the speeding car hit their motorbike. Jagan’s niece sustained injuries in the collision. Anasuya, wife of Siddhartha, lived in Vanjiri village of Kagaznagar mandal.
Jagan was taking his sister and her children from Vanjiri to Bendara to celebrate Diwali when the mishap occurred. The accident cast a pall of gloom over both families on the eve of the festival of lights.
Police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to the district headquarters hospital in Asifabad. Preliminary inquiry suggests rash and negligent driving by the car driver caused the accident.
