Telangana: Tiger movements reported in Kothagudem forests

Kothagudem: Tiger movements were reported in the forests of Karakagudem and Janampet-Potlapalli in Pinapaka mandal in the district.
A farmer who spotted the tiger informed the local forest officials. On Wednesday, the officials visited the forest areas where the tiger was said to be moving and checked its pug marks. CCTV cameras were installed to monitor the animal’s movements.
The villagers near the forests and farmers have been cautioned not to venture into the forests alone as well as not to harm the creature. It might be recalled that movements of a tiger were reported in December, 2024 in Gundala and Allapalli mandals in the district.
