Telangana: Tiger sighted in Mancherial returns to forests of Tiryani
Forest officials said the male tiger named S12 aged around three years had drifted towards the forests of Tiryani after staying in the forests of Luxettipet for nearly three weeks.

Mancherial: A tiger that was seen moving in the forests of Luxettipet range has entered the forests of Tiryani range on Thursday.
Forest officials said the male tiger named S12 aged around three years had drifted towards the forests of Tiryani after staying in the forests of Luxettipet for nearly three weeks. They stated that they shared information of the tiger with their counterparts of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district.
The tiger had strayed into the forests of Luxettipet from the forests of Jannaram in search of territory. It killed cattle in the forests of Muthyampelli section on November 4 and the compensation was extended to the farmer within 24 hours. CCTV camera traps were installed to track movement of the tiger. Animal trackers were deployed to trail the tiger and to ensure smooth passage for it.
The tiger was originally residing in the forests of neighboring Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. It belongs to Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve of Maharashtra. It stepped into the forests situated in the core of Kawal Tiger Reserve near Jannaram by crossing Kerameri and Tiryani mandals in October.
