Telangana to continue Covid vaccination drive throughout April
Following instructions from MoHFW, vaccination to continue on all days in April
Hyderabad: The health department will carry out Covid vaccination drive throughout the month of April across Telangana even during holidays, following instructions to operationalize vaccinations on all days during this month from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
‘It has been decided with the approval of competent authority that during April, 2021 i.e. between April 1 and April 30, Covid vaccination would be operationalized on all the days in all Covid Vaccination Centres (CVC) in public and private sector. Therefore, Covid vaccination must be offered in these CVC on all days of the month including gazetted holidays during April, 2021,” the letter from MOHFW said.
The letter said that ‘Keeping in view of the surge in Covid 19 cases in all the States and the detailed deliberation done with the States and Union Territories on March 31, 2021, it has been decided to optimally utilise all Covid Vaccination Centres in public and private sector to ensure rapid increase in the pace and coverage of Covid vaccines’.
