Hyderabad: The State government will examine a proposal for integrating Hyderabad’s traffic signals through an AI-enabled intelligent traffic management system to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion, particularly during heavy rains.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with Analog Founder and CEO Alex Kipman and MEIL Managing Director P Krishna Reddy at the MCR HRD Institute on Wednesday, where the companies presented a pilot project on technology-driven urban traffic management.

The Chief Minister suggested leveraging advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and physical intelligence, to modernise the city’s infrastructure and enable real-time traffic regulation. The companies showcased solutions based on sensors, robotics and intelligent infrastructure capable of dynamically adjusting traffic signals, detecting water leaks, optimising power distribution and facilitating faster movement of ambulances and fire services during emergencies.

The discussions also focused on developing “cognitive cities” through data-driven infrastructure planning to improve government efficiency and citizen services.

Analog and MEIL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Chief Minister’s presence to strengthen technical collaboration and promote innovation-led infrastructure development.
