Telangana to publish Gram Panchayat photo electoral rolls on September 2
The Telangana State Election Commission has announced that the final ward-wise photo electoral rolls for all gram panchayats will be published on September 2. Draft rolls will be released on August 28, with objections accepted until August 30
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Election Commissioner has directed District Panchayat Officers (DPOs) to prepare and publish the photo electoral rolls of all gram panchayats on September 2.
A notification to this effect was issued on Tuesday. As per the schedule, the draft electoral rolls will be prepared and ward-wise details will be displayed at the Gram Panchayat and Mandal Praja Parishad offices on August 28.
Meetings with representatives of political parties will be held at the district level on August 29 and at the mandal level on August 30. Objections, if any, to the rearrangement of rural assembly voters into ward-wise Gram Panchayat electoral rolls can be filed between August 28 and 30.
The DPOs will dispose of objections on August 31, following which the final ward-wise photo electoral rolls will be published on September 2.
