Sangareddy: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that the State government will take up the recruitment of 20,000 Police personnel in various categories soon.

Speaking to reporters after the inauguration of the new building of Sangareddy town police station here on Saturday, the Home Minister said that they have recruited over 80,000 persons in various categories since the formation of Telangana in 2014. As the women’s protection was their priority, Mahmood Ali said that 33 per cent of total personnel inducted during the last seven years were women. Saying that the Telangana government is giving utmost priority to keep law and order intact, the Home Minister said that 70 per cent of CCTV Cameras installed in India were in Telangana. Mahmood Ali said that CC Cameras were making the job of Police easy in cracking the cases. Since they have created a reception system in Police stations by appointing a trained woman constable as receptionist at all the Police Stations across the State, he said that the common people were walking into the Police Station without any fear. The ultra modern town Police Station in Sangareddy town was built with an outlay of Rs one crore.
