Hyderabad: ICBM School of Business Excellence (SBE), HoD HRM, Prof. SVVSV Prasad urged students to develop strong communication skills which can ‘do wonders’.

Addressing students during a seminar on ‘Road map for career development and planning’ jointly organised by Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana at SV Engineering College, Suryapet, on Thursday, Prof. Prasad focused on career opportunities and skills required for landing corporate jobs.

During recruitments, corporate sectors would expect important skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, problem solving and troubleshooting etc. He also spoke on self-motivation, dedication and patience and explained the importance of entrepreneurship and startups.

Similar events were organized at SV Degree College, Spandana Degree College and Sai Triveni Degree College in Suryapet with different speakers from ICBM SBE. Speaking at Sai Triveni Degree College, ICBM SBE, assistant professor, R Ramanjana Reddy explained about soft skills, positive attitude, and stage fear. He also spoke on the role of communication skills and body language in career planning and development.

Interacting with students of Spandana Degree College, Suryapet, ICBM SBE, assistant professor, K Venkata Lakshman spoke on how decision making plays an important role in one’s life and in corporate culture.

In his lecture at SV Degree College, ICBM SBE, senior faculty, Prof. Qutubuddin laid emphasis on the importance of leadership ability, interpersonal and communication skills for starting a career in the corporate sector.
