Telangana: Two drown in Godavari river after Holi celebrations in Manugur
Two men who went missing in the Godavari river while bathing after Holi celebrations near Manugur were found dead the next day. They reportedly ventured into deeper waters. Police suspended night search operations and later recovered the bodies with expert swimmers.

Kothagudem: Two people, who went missing in river Godavari while taking a bath after celebrating Holi on Tuesday, were found dead on Wednesday.
The incident took place near Mallepalli village of Manugur mandal. According to CI Nagababu and SI Shravan Kumar, over 15 youths celebrated Holi near Singareni Park in the mandal and later went to the Godavari to take a bath.
While returning home after finishing their meals, two among these, Paddam Prasad (35), a Singareni employee and Gundi Nageswara Rao(40), a private driver, both of Padmagudem village, went into the Godavari again to take a bath. In this process, they went into a deeper area and went missing.
Their friends went into the river searching for the duo but could not find them. The police, who learned about the incident, reached the spot and searched for the missing, but to no avail. As the night set in, the search operations were stopped.
Expert swimmers were engaged to find out the missing persons and their bodies were found at a distance from the incident spot. Manugur town police registered a case in connection with the incident.
