Telangana: Two dead, four injured in road accident in Wanaparthy district
The incident occurred when family members, who are natives of Nandikotkur in Andhra Pradesh were heading to their native place from Hyderabad. At Veltoor, a DCM van, which was ahead of the swift car, applied sudden brakes and the car hit the van from behind.
Wanaparthy: Two persons of a family died on the spot and four others suffered grievous injuries when the car in which they were travelling was hit by a container from behind at Veltoor under Peddamandadi mandal in the district.
The incident occurred when family members, who are natives of Nandikotkur in Andhra Pradesh were heading to their native place from Hyderabad. At Veltoor, a DCM van, which was ahead of the swift car, applied sudden brakes and the car hit the van from behind.
Another container, which was right behind the car, could not control and hit the vehicle. The car got crushed between the DCM van and the container. This resulted in the death of two persons on the spot and four others suffered severe injuries, according to reports.
The deceased have been identified as Chinna Babu’s wife Siddu (45) and Afiyan (10). The police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital. A case has been registered and police investigation is under progress.
