Hyderabad: Students and the unemployed youth on Wednesday were ecstatic with the announcement of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on filling up a massive 80,039 vacancies in various government departments. These vacancies including the general jobs (Group posts) will be notified by the government for recruitment immediately which brought cheers among the government job aspirants who have been waiting for notifications.
The Chief Minister’s announcement has come as a surprise for several job aspirants as they were not expecting such a huge number of vacancies to be filled up. In fact, never in the history of united Andhra Pradesh such a large number of vacancies were announced for direct recruitment.
T Madhuri
“I expected the government to announce 20,000 to 30,000 posts. But 80,039 vacancies announcement took me by surprise. I have taken up self-preparation for the Group-II posts and am happy that so many posts have been notified for direct recruitment by the government,” said T Madhuri, a government job aspirant preparing at Osmania University Main Library.
G Anjaneyulu
Expressing his happiness over announcement of huge number of Group posts and other vacancies by the government, G Anjaneyulu, an aspirant of Group posts urged the government to issue notification and complete the recruitment at the earliest as there was financial burden on unemployed youth.
“I am happy that the government has announced a massive number of jobs. In the last recruitment, I missed constable job by 0.25 marks and SI job by two marks. Now, I am preparing for both police jobs and Group posts. I request the government to take up the recruitment at the earliest, as there is a financial burden on the unemployed youth towards paying their room rents and food,” he said.
V Shivaram
Another government job aspirant, V Shivaram said the government should immediately commence the recruitment process as they have been preparing for competitive exams since long.
This apart, the announcement of upper age limit relaxation by 10 years by the Chief Minister added more cheer for the unemployed youth as several of them will now be eligible to take part in the proposed recruitment process. Except for uniformed services, this relaxation will be applicable for other posts.
I Hari Krishna
“Relaxation of the upper age limit by 10 years is a good decision. The government should also extend this relaxation at least by five years for uniformed services like police and excise as a large number of unemployed youth have been preparing for such services as well,” said I Hari Krishna who is preparing for Group posts.
