Telangana: Village elder suspected of practicing black magic hacked to death in Kothagudem
A village elder, Madivi Nandaiah, was brutally murdered and beheaded at Marrigudem in Kothagudem district. Police suspect a land dispute, while villagers allege the killing was linked to black magic. Two suspects have been identified, and investigation is underway.
Kothagudem: A village elder was murdered at Marrigudem of Chunchupally mandal in the district.
The deceased Madivi Nandaiah of the village was found dead with his head separated from torso during late night hours on Thursday. The assailants had beaten him and hacked him to death before throwing the body into a stream near the village.
The police suspected land dispute behind the murder while the villagers alleged that two persons, Pondem Ramu and S Venkatesh of Maya Bazaar area killed Nandaiah in view of the deceased man’s black magic practices.
The two-town SHO Pratap booked a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
