Telangana wins gold and bronze at National Pickleball Championship

Telangana athletes excelled at the 9th National Pickleball Championship in Jammu & Kashmir, with Sucharita Thakur and P. Chakrapani winning gold in mixed doubles (35 & above) and Dr. Sonibala Devi securing two bronze medals in singles and doubles events

Hyderabad: Telangana won a gold and a bronze at the ninth National Pickleball Championship in Jammu & Kashmir.

In the 35 years & above mixed doubles event, Sucharita Thakur and P. Chakrapani won the gold medal.


Dr. Sonibala Devi, who is also the VC & MD of SATG, won two bronze medals in the 50 years & above women’s singles and mixed doubles events.

Telangana Sports and Youth Services Minister Vakiti Srihari, along with Telangana Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy, congratulated the medal winners.

ATPA President and Secretaries Ramesh and Jaganmohan said they were committed to promoting pickleball across the state, nurturing future champions, and ensuring Telangana gains further recognition on the national sports map.
