Hyderabad: Telangana team emerged as the overall champions in the Sub-Junior Girls category at the Asmita South Zone Canoe Sprint Championship held in Visakhapatnam.

The State team put up an impressive show winning 13 medals, including three gold, three silver and seven bronze.

The medal-winning contingent, coached by Puli Ramakrishna, Kayaking and Canoeing Coach of the Sports Authority of Telangana, comprised Chandana, Sravanthi, Sindhu, Divyashree, Avantika, Nivedita, Bindu, Jaswika, Rekha, Anusha, Nageshwari, P. Srivalli, and M.K. Nishi.
