Minister P Ajay Kumar launched several development works at Yellandu in Kothagudem district on Tuesday.
Khammam: Telangana was witnessing unprecedented development in the past six years under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, asserted Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Tuesday.
He said the TRS government has been achieving development targets that could not be achieved in the past 70 years. As the leader who fought for the statehood of Telangana has been leading the state, people’s problems were being resolved in a speedy manner.
Ajay Kumar inaugurated and launched several development works at Yellandu in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. “Public always supports a government that works for public good,” he said.
He said IT, MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao was the future of Telangana and with his support urban areas in the state were witnessing progress and Yellandu Municipality has also witnessed a transformation in terms of development.
The town was now developed in a beautiful manner with road medians, central street lighting, gardens and regular supply of drinking water. The long pending demand for an RTC bus depot was fulfilled by the government.
Administrative sanction for Rs 3.75 crore was given towards a new bus depot at Yellandu and foundation stone for its construction would be laid by Dasara, Ajay Kumar informed.
Minister reviews non-agriculture assets survey
During the evening hours of the day in Khammam, Ajay Kumar held a meeting with the District Collectors of Khammam and Kothagudem, Legislators and other elected members to review the process of non-agriculture assets survey.
He informed that erstwhile Khammam was in the first place in the state in conducting the survey. He wanted the officials to continue the same spirit in the days to come as the survey was the prestigious programme taken up by the government after land records purification.
Ajay Kumar reviewed the non-agriculture assets survey progress of all municipalities and in rural areas and told the officials not to give any scope for any errors in the survey.
Khammam Collector Karnan informed that nearly 46, 214 assets in municipal areas and 55296 assets in rural areas were recorded. Kothagudem Collector MV Reddy informed that 13, 491 assets in urban areas and 43, 345 assets in rural areas were recorded.
Government Whip R Kantha Rao, ZP Chairman L Kamalraj, MLAs, L Ramulu Naik, S V Venkata Veeraiah, V Venkateswara Rao, B Haripriya, M Nageswara Rao and others were present.
