Hyderabad: Telangana women’s team bagged the team championship in table tennis at the South-Zone Inter-Regional Indoor games organised by the Regional Sports Promotion Committee (RSPC), Food Corporation of India at the LB Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.
A Ratna Swapna (TS) clinched gold in the women’s singles in the table tennis event. Later, she paired with Parimala Kishori and defeated Manjusha and Ashlesha of Andhra Pradesh in the doubles final. Meanwhile Poorna Chandar Rao and Sai Kiran settled with silver in the men’s doubles.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh emerged overall champions while Telangana team took the runners-up title.
