Telangana: Youngster drowns in Godavari while taking dip in Mancherial

Mancherial: A youngster accidentally drowned in Godavari while taking a holy dip in it near Mulkalla village in Hajipur mandal on Sunday.
Hajipur Sub-Inspector G Naresh said that Usikamalla Sravan (22) from Mancherial town met a watery grave when he was taking a dip in the river at a deep spot.
He was accompanied by his father, who was standing on the banks of the river to wash clothes, and tried to rescue his son, but in vain.
Sravan’s father informed police about the incident. The police rushed to the spot and began efforts to trace the body.
