The death toll in the RIMS-Adilabad SNCU tragedy rose to five after two more infants died on Wednesday. Officials said three newborns had earlier died after inhaling toxic smoke and gases following an AC explosion, while two others remained critical.

Two unidentified persons allegedly attempting to steal petrol from a parked motorcycle fled after a house owner spotted them in Chanakyapuri Colony of Mallapur, Hyderabad. The suspects escaped after residents raised an alarm and chased them, leaving their scooter behind.
