BRS leader Dr RS Praveen Kumar has alleged that officials of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA)–Asifabad unit are colluding with transport association leaders to extort bribes from the public. An 11-year-old student from Pebbair, Wanaparthy, died after being shifted between three government hospitals within 24 hours. The Class 7 student first showed symptoms of illness on November 12. Doctors at Wanaparthy General Hospital suspected dengue, while a private hospital diagnosed pneumonia.Despite the transfer, the boy died in the early hours of Saturday.
