Hyderabad: International para athlete Deepthi Jeevanji of Telangana was honoured with the “Best Para Athlete” award at the Best Para Sports Awards function organised by the Paralympic Committee of India during the 8th Para Open International Athletics Championship being held in Bengaluru from May 26 to 28.
Deepthi Jeevanji received the recognition for her outstanding achievements and consistent performances at the international level, bringing laurels to the country and to Telangana in para athletics.
Telangana Sports Minister of Telangana Vakiti Sri Hari congratulated Deepthi Jeevanji and her ciach Nagapuri Ramesh on receiving the
prestigious honour and appreciated their dedication, determination and contribution to Indian para sports.
Advisor to Government of Telangana on Sports Affairs A.P. Jithender Reddy, Sports Authority of Telangana ChairmanShivsena Reddy, and SATG VC & MD Dr. A. Sonibala Devi also extended their congratulations to the athlete and conveyed best wishes for her future competitions.
The award ceremony was attended by sports administrators, para athletes and officials from across the country as part of the
international championship being hosted in Bengaluru.
