Hyderabad: Expressing strong displeasure over the current state of affairs, Telangana Journalists Forum (TJF) president Allam Narayana said that 12 years after achieving Telangana, conspiracies were once again being hatched within the State to undermine its very identity.

On the occasion of the TJF’s Formation Day, Telangana journalists, under the aegis of the TJF, paid rich tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial, Gun Park here on Saturday.

A concluding ceremony for the Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years since the TJF’s inception, was held at Gun Park.

Addressing on the occasion, Allam Narayana, who is former Chairman of the Media Academy, questioned the ulterior motive behind installing statues of Andhra leaders in Hyderabad.

This was being done 12 years after the State bifurcation, he stressed.

Allam Narayana asserted that it was TJF which had mobilized the people of Telangana against those advocating for a united Andhra Pradesh.

“Time has now come for the organization to play that pivotal role once again,” Allam Narayana said.

Founding General Secretary of the TJF and former MLA Kranthi Kiran lashed out at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and  alleged that he was acting as a puppet under the control of Seemandhra leaders.

“He is compromising the interests of Telangana,” he slammed.

Kranthi Kiran expressed deep anguish and warned that circumstances were emerging to pose a direct threat to the very identity of Telangana.
