Hyderabad: Telangana’s Kanakappa won a bronze in the 8th Open International Para Athletics Championship in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Telangana para athlete Kanakappa showcased exceptional speed and determination in the T-44 category 100-meter race, clocking an impressive 12.99 seconds and securing the Bronze Medal.


With this remarkable achievement, Kanakappa brought pride and recognition to Telangana at the national level.

Acharya Para Sports Academy Founder & Para Athletics Association of Telangana Secretary Prashanth Gadipalli, and Para Sports Association of Telangana President Singarapu Babu congratulated the medallists.

G. Prashanth said that the academy woumd always encourage and support talented para athletes like Kanakappa and hoped that they would achieve many more international medals in the future.

Para Sports Association of Telangana officials and fellow athletes also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the medal winner.
