Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s announcement to fill 80,039 vacant government posts received overwhelming response from Ministers, legislators and elected representatives of TRS, as well as NRIs, student and other professional organisations in the State.
The State Legislative Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy lauded the Chief Minister for taking up the massive recruitment to fill 80,039 posts and also regularising 11,103 contract employees. He said the decision to enhance the upper age limit, will provide an opportunity to thousands of unemployed who were discriminated during recruitments in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. He was confident that the move will also ensure better services to the people and effective implementation of the government programmes at the field level.
TRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao tweeted that once again it has been proved that the TRS government delivers more than what it promises. He pointed out that one lakh jobs was the election promise in 2014 and the TRS government had already filled 1,33,942 posts. “Today Hon’ble CM Sri #KCR garu announced the recruitment bonanza of 91,142 jobs for #Telangana youth. Very happy to inform that 80,039 posts will be directly filled apart from regularizing 11,103 contractual personnel. This is a great opportunity for the unemployed youth of Telangana. My best wishes to all the job aspirants. (sic),” he tweeted.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao termed it as another landmark announcement by the Chief Minister, the leader who is fulfilling the promises and wishes of Telangana. He said after providing 1.32 lakh govt jobs to our youth, the Chief Minister has announced 80,039 govt jobs for direct recruitment and regularising 11,103 contractual jobs.
Ministers Mohd Mahmood Ali, S Niranjan Reddy, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, V Srinivas Goud, Satyavathi Rathod, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar, A Indra Karan Reddy and others, termed the Chief Minister’s announcement as a historic decision that would be a boon to scores of unemployed in Telangana.
TRS Lok Sabha floor leader Nama Nageshwara Rao demanded that the Centre must take inspiration from Telangana and fill about 8.72 lakh jobs in the government and affiliated organisations on a priority basis. Rajya Sabha member J Santosh Kumar said ‘Neellu-Nidhulu-Niyaamakaalu’, the core mantra taken up by Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao during Telangana movement, was being fulfilled in Telangana. He termed the upcoming Telugu new year as the year of jobs.
MLC K Kavitha tweeted that Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao had created a history as Telangana continues to excel under his leadership. She said he ensured 95 per cent jobs for the locals as he announced 80,039 job openings in the State government and regularised 11,103 contractual jobs after fulfilling the promise of giving 1,32,899 government jobs. Rythu Bandhu Samithi chairman Palla Rajeshwar Reddy pointed out that the unemployment rate of Telangana was 2.2 per cent against the national unemployment rate of 7.2 per cent.
Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar, Telangana Sahitya Akademi chairman Juluru Gowrishankar, TRS NRI wing coordinator Mahesh Bigala, Telangana Group-1 Officers Association, TNGOs Association, Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee and various other organisations, appreciated the Chief Minister’s move. They hoped that the unemployed will make most use of the opportunity of the recruitment bonanza.
