Telangana’s Prraneeth Vuppala triumphs in Rome chess event

Telangana’s GM Prraneeth Vuppala won the Rome City Aperta International Chess Tournament, scoring eight points from nine rounds. The 17-year-old will soon compete in international tournaments across the Netherlands, Spain and other European countries, continuing his rise in world chess

Hyderabad: GM Prraneeth Vuppala of Telangana won the Rome City Aperta International Chess Tournament in Rome.

Prraneeth scored eight points from nine rounds to clinch the honours in the event, which saw 120 players participate.


The 17-year-old from Telangana will soon play in several international tournaments in the Netherlands, Spain and other European countries.
