Telangana’s Soumya selected for Indian football camp
The camp is being organised to select the Indian team for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asia Cup scheduled to be held in India next year
Hyderabad: Telangana woman footballer G Soumya has been named in Indian camp which will be held from August 16 to September 6 at Jamshedpur.
The camp is being organised to select the Indian team for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asia Cup scheduled to be held in India next year. A total of 30 footballers were named for the camp.
Souyma made history by becoming the first female footballer from both Telugu speaking States to play for the country when she made her debut during the European tour in February this year.
The Telangana Football Association (TFA) secretary GP Palguna congratulated Soumya.
