Hyderabad: Telangana badminton player Katam Tarun Reddy went down fighting against Kazakhstan’s Dimitriy Panarin in three sets to settle for a second-place finish in the Cyprus International Future Series, on Sunday.
The 20-year-old shuttler from the State lost to Panarin 20-22, 21-9, 11-21 in the summit clash.
Earlier in the semis, he got the better of Switzerland’s Joel Konig 21-14, 21-15. In quarterfinals, he downed Poland’s Mateusz 21-16, 17-21, 21-12 in the quarterfinals.
