Hyderabad: Telstra, Australia-based telecommunications & technology company, launched an Innovation and Capabilities Centre (ICC) at Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad.

The 43,372-sq ft Hyderabad centre will act as a hub of specialised high-performance software engineering and will encompass a deep technology consumer software engineering team that will directly innovate for the customers of Telstra.

The company also set up another ICC in Pune, and a Network & Product Engineering Lab in Bengaluru. These facilities with a combined size of over one lakh sq ft will become hubs of innovation and will further strengthen Telstra’s efforts to diversify talent acquisition in India.

“At Telstra India, our ambition is to be an epicentre of talent and innovation that drives Telstra’s digitally connected future. Our expansion in India reiterates our commitment to empower an innovative ecosystem by providing relevant opportunities to our people, co-creating with partners to bring alive cutting-edge technology and solutions for our businesses and customers,” said NT Arunkumar, MD & country head (India), Telstra India.

The two new ICCs in Hyderabad and Pune give the company the ability to strengthen innovation capabilities by specialising centres in sub-areas of innovation, he added.

Working at Telstra’s ICCs in India will provide technologists an opportunity to use technology, automation, and innovation to try and solve challenges in areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and other new age technologies..
