Telugu Akademi: 3-member committee to probe irregularities

Hyderabad: The State government on Wednesday constituted a three-member committee to probe alleged irregularities in the fixed deposits of the Telugu Akademi.

The committee consists of Commissioner of Intermediate Education Syed Omer Jaleel, Intermediate Education accounts officer Rambabu and Commissionerate of Collegiate Education joint director Yadagiri. The committee has been directed to conduct an inquiry and submit a preliminary report by October 2.

On behalf of the Telugu Akademi, a complaint has already been lodged at CCS and the police have launched an investigation, Telugu Akademi director Somi Reddy said in a press release.
