Hyderabad: Senior character artiste Uttej’s wife Padmaavathi passed away on Monday morning, following a brief illness, at Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute in the city.

Padmavathi had been a great support to the actor in running their Mayukha Talkies film acting school at Yousufguda. Several celebrities in Telugu cinema, including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Prakash Raj, and Jeevitha Rajasekhar paid visit to the hospital and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
