Telugu families in Austria mark Bathukamma, Dasara with traditional fervour

Telugu Sangam Austria organised Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations in Vienna, drawing participation from a large number of Telugu families residing in Austria. The event featured traditional songs, dances, cultural programmes and Telugu cuisine, while also promoting Telugu culture and traditions among the diaspora.

Hyderabad: Telugu Sangam Austria organised Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations in Vienna on Saturday, with a large number of Telugu families living in Austria participating in the festivities.

The participants celebrated Bathukamma, the traditional floral festival, and Dasara with joy and enthusiasm. The event aimed to preserve and promote Telugu culture and traditions among the Telugu diaspora.

Women sang traditional Bathukamma songs and performed dances, while children and youth enthusiastically participated in various cultural programmes. The participants were also served traditional Telugu dishes during the event.

The executive committee members of Telugu Sangam Austria, volunteers, decorations and registration teams, and other members worked together to organise the celebrations successfully.
