Hyderabad: Noted Telugu linguist and literary critic professor KK Ranganadhacharyulu succumbed to Covid-19 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Nacharam on Saturday. He was 80.
Ranganadhacharyulu was a multi-faceted and popular personality in Telugu literary world. He had researched and chronicled various trends in modern Telugu literature. A versatile in Telugu literature, he also taught linguistics at the University of Hyderabad and guided several scholars in researching various topics in Telugu literature.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao condoled the death of well-known linguist who made rich contributions to the development of Telugu language and literature. He recalled the services rendered by Prof Ranganadhacharyulu who worked in several capacities as critic, teacher and research guide. He conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao also mourned the death of Ranganadhacharyulu and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
