Telugu remake of South Korean action-comedy resumes shoot

With Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas in lead roles, film production company Suresh Productions on Monday officially announced its upcoming project, a Telugu remake of South Korean action-comedy, ‘Midnight Runners’.
The official twitter account of Suresh Productions tweeted, “Suresh Productions, Guru Films and Kross Pictures – the winning combination of Oh! Baby, are back in collaboration for the official remake of Midnight Runners. The film is being helmed by Sudheer Varma, starring Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas. Shoot in progress!”
The combination of D. Suresh Babu, Sunitha Tati and Hyunwoo Thomas Kim from Suresh Productions, Guru Films and Kross Pictures respectively have earlier bankrolled the Samantha starrer fantasy flick ‘Oh! Baby’.
Like ‘Oh! Baby’s original version ‘Miss Granny’ which had a universal appeal, the story of ‘Midnight Runners’ too has a global theme and the makers are confident that it can similarly entertain the Telugu audiences.
The yet- to-be-titled film finished the first schedule of shoot in March and has resumed the final schedule. The entire filming is likely to be completed by the end of August. Richard Prasad is the cinematographer, while Mikey McCleary scores the music.
