Temperatures rise in Hyderabad

The highest maximum temperature recorded in the city on Thursday was 33.8 degree Celsius, which is one degree more than normal, while on Friday, it was 32.5 degree Celsius.

Hyderabad: After the heavy downpours earlier this week that brought down the temperatures, the city saw a bright sun and a scorching afternoon on Friday.

The highest maximum temperature recorded in the city on Thursday was 33.8 degree Celsius, which is one degree more than normal, while on Friday, it was 32.5 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature has also increased by two degrees, and was recorded at 23.8 degree Celsius on Friday morning.

As per the forecast by India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad (IMD) the maximum temperature was likely to remain between 32 and 34 degree Celsius for the next seven days. While there is no heavy rain forecast, several parts of the city are likely to receive light to moderate rains. According to the data collected at the various Automatic Weather Stations of the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the northern parts of the city including Gajularamaram, Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, Alwal and Moosapet are likely to receive rain upto 64.5 mm on Monday.

Many districts of Telangana continue to receive moderate to heavy rainfall. On Friday, districts including Mancherial, Rajanna Sircilla, Medak, Nirmal and Nizamabad witnessed moderate rainfall upto 42.5 mm. Sarvapur in Kamareddy received the highest rain of 46.5 mm.
