Ten labourers stranded in Manair river rescued in Peddapalli
Ten labourers and five sand tractors were stranded in the Manair river near Gattepalli of Sultanabad mandal on Tuesday as water levels suddenly rose. Police, with the help of locals and ropes, rescued the workers and brought them to safety
Peddapalli: Ten labourers and five sand tractors were stranded in the Manair river near Gattepalli of Sultanabad mandal on Tuesday after water levels suddenly rose.
The workers were loading sand into the tractors when the river’s flow increased sharply, leaving them trapped midstream.
On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and, with the help of ropes, rescued the labourers. Local residents also joined the rescue operation, assisting the police in bringing the workers to safety.
