Ten-year-old girl found murdered in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally
A ten-year-old girl was found murdered in her Kukatpally home on Monday while her parents were at work. Police said the girl, a sixth standard student, was alone as her school had declared holidays. Special teams are probing the case

Hyderabad: A ten-year-old girl was found murdered in her house at Kukatpally on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, the girl, a sixth standard student, was alone at home while her parents, Krishna and Renuka, had gone out for work.
The incident came to light when her father returned home around noon to collect tiffin for his son, who was at school. He found the girl lying in a pool of blood.
“Around 1 pm, we received a Dial 100 call about the murder of a girl. The local police reached the spot and found that some persons had slit the girl’s throat. The body was found on the bed,” said DCP Balanagar, K. Suresh Kumar.
The girl’s body was shifted to a mortuary for postmortem examination. A clues team visited the scene and collected evidence.
Police said the victim stayed home as her school had declared holidays. Special teams have been formed to identify and arrest the assailant.
