Tension in Aliabad as Congress workers attack BRS leaders

Tension prevailed in Aliabad municipality in Medchal after Congress party workers allegedly attacked BRS leaders during campaigning. The clash followed a dispute over loudspeaker volume. Police intervened to control the situation as slogans were raised against BRS leaders

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Aliabad municipality in Medchal when Congress party workers attacked BRS leaders who were campaigning in the area.

According to reports, a group of BRS leaders had urged Congress party workers to reduce the volume of their loudspeakers, following which the latter got angry and physically assaulted the BRS workers.


The BRS leaders escaped from the spot to save themselves from the attack, which was filmed using mobile phones by local people and reporters. Police who were present at the spot tried to disperse the groups.

The Congress party workers then raised slogans against MLA C Malla Reddy and the BRS party.
