Tension at Saidabad as 2BHK housing aspirants clash with Musi project-affected families
Tension prevailed at Chanchalguda Double Bedroom Society on Saturday night as 2BHK flat applicants from the previous BRS govt clash with Musi project-affected families.
Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Chanchalguda Double Bedroom Society located at Saidabad road on Saturday night following a clash between the Musi project-affected families and 2BHK housing scheme flat aspirants.
The issue began after the revenue authorities issued allotment letters to families staying in the Musi River FTL and buffer zone and asked them to move to the Double Bedroom Society at Saidabad. A few families moved to the flat with their belongings during the day.
However, in the night the people who had applied and got selected 2BHK flats during the previous BRS government came and picked up a fight with the Musi project affected families.
The luggage and bags were thrown from the flats on to the ground by the 2BHK scheme applicants. The police resorted to a mild lathi-charge to control the situation.
Additional forces were rushed to the spot to control the situation. The police registered a case against a few persons for attacking people and are investigating.
