Nalgonda: Tension prevailed at the Prajavani programme in Yadadri Bhongir after Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders were reportedly denied entry at the venue by the police.

The BRS leaders wanted to lodge a complaint with District Collector Anurag Jayanthi at the programme against Congress MLA from Alair Beerla Ilaiah over alleged land encroachments and unauthorised mining.

The BRS leaders alleged that the Congress MLA was resorting to unauthorised mining and encroaching on government land under survey no 322 in Challuru village in Yadadri Bhongir.

However, the police denied permission to the BRS leaders to enter the venue. Heated arguments took place between the police and the BRS leaders, and later they barged into the venue, according to reports.

In a representation submitted to the District Collector, the BRS leaders demanded a thorough probe into the irregularities allegedly committed by the Congress MLA, the reports said.
