Speaking to the media, he alleged that though he has informed Superintendent of Police of Suryapet district about his plan to visit the project, huge police were deployed at the place by the Telangana government. He was not permitted to near the project by Telangana Police. The Ministers of Telangana have been making provocative comments even after Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy urged for an amicable solution for the issue. He questioned as to how far it was just to Minister for Municipal Administration (Telangana) K Taraka Rama Rao for saying they would be ready to face even God also in the matters of Krishna river water sharing. The Government of Telangana was also not accepted the date fixed by the Kishna River Board for meeting on July 9, he added.

He said that the Telangana government should take up the generation of electricity with the waters of Pulichinthala Project only when there was excess water or water releasing of water from the project for irrigation facility to the farmers.

He alleged that 7.5 tmc of Krishna river water was going waste into the Ocean due to the act of the Telangana government. He made it clear that there was no truth in the allegation of the Telangana government on the diversion of water from the Srisailam project to Rayalaseema through Pothireddypadu Head Regulator. He claimed that water would be drawn to the Polthireddypadu Head Regulator from the project only when there was excess water.
