TFA pays tribute to SV Adinarayana Rao, veteran football administrator

Hyderabad: Telangana Football Association (TFA) mourned the demise of Padma Shri Dr SV Adinarayana Rao, former senior vice-president of the then united Andhra Pradesh Football Association for two decades.
He was 86 and contributed greatly to the promotion of the sport in the Telugu-speaking States.
“Dr Rao was also the President of the Visakhapatnam District Football Association for three decades. He was conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2022 apart from his immense contribution to football administration,” TFA Secretary Phalguna said in a statement on Sunday.
Dr SV Adinarayana Rao was a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and made invaluable contributions to the development of football and sports administration. His services to both sports and society will always be remembered with great respect and gratitude, the TFA official said.
