TG BIE, Fire department to introduce software for Fire NOC verification

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education and Fire department will introduce an integrated software system to verify Fire NOCs after fake certificates submitted by private junior colleges came to light. The authorities also discussed stricter fire safety measures in colleges

Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) and the Fire department have decided to introduce an integrated software system for easy verification of Fire NOCs. The decision was taken in view of recent fake Fire NOCs submitted by private junior colleges to the TG BIE for grant of affiliation for the academic year 2026-27 coming to light.

On Tuesday, the TG BIE, along with the HYDRAA, organised a meeting with representatives of private junior colleges, where various issues related to students and fire safety were discussed. They decided to conduct a series of meetings to address the issue of Fire NOCs, strict implementation of fire safety measures and other critical aspects of fire safety in educational institutions.

The Board appealed to parents, students, college managements and other stakeholders not to fall prey to unverified news or rumours, which have the potential to create confusion.
