Hyderabad: The Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2026 is likely to commence from February 25, 2026. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education has proposed two timetables, with one commencing from February 23 and another from February 25.
The Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education that recently released a tentative timetable has scheduled the IPE from February 23 to March 24. Telangana too is planning to commence the examinations around the same time.
“Most probably, the examinations will commence from February 25. After approval from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who also holds the Education Department portfolio, we will announce the timetable,” a senior TG BIE official told ‘Telangana Today’.
More than nine lakh students are expected to appear for both first and second-year inter exams. Prior to Covid-19 pandemic, the intermediate exams used to commence in the last week of February. However, due to the pandemic, the exam timetable had been rescheduled to March.
Advancing the schedule now will provide some breathing space for students to prepare for competitive examinations like JEE Main, EAPCET and NEET UG.
Following approval from the State government, the TG BIE will release a notification inviting examination fee from students.
Meanwhile, the TG BIE asked principals of junior colleges to make changes, if any, in the nominal rolls data that has been made available in the respective college login on or before October 17. The colleges have been told to ensure correctness of the data as the name will be used for issuance of hall tickets, memorandum of marks, pass certificates etc.
