TGCHE chief stresses importance of internships for law students

Hyderabad: Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Chairman Prof V Balakista Reddy on Thursday highlighted the importance of the mandatory internship prescribed by the Bar Council of India for law students, stating that internships help them gain hands-on experience of real-world issues.
Prof Reddy distributed internship certificates to a group of law students from Andhra Mahila Sabha and Islamia College who completed their 21-day mandatory internship at the TGCHE.
Students participated in interactive sessions conducted by Prof Reddy and his team on various topics, including the role of communication skills for future lawyers, the Indian Constitution and the impact of the global political economy on international laws.
In addition, the interns made presentations and submitted assignments on online and offline dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation and conciliation, law and technology connect, the changing dynamics of legal education and legal provisions in the 21st century.
