Hyderabad: The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) team led by its Chairman Burra Venkatesham held elaborate discussions with UPSC Chairperson Preeti Sudan on their visit to New Delhi on Wednesday.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation was made by the Joint Secretaries of various branches of UPSC delineating the functions and procedures followed.
Thorough deliberations on various practices followed by UPSC in the conduct of exams in a foolproof manner, recruitment rules and process, financial autonomy and adoption of IT to speed up recruitment were held with the UPSC Chairperson.
The TGPSC chairman and five members studied in detail about important aspects of conduct of UPSC exams and noted the best practices that can be adopted by TGPSC to make its present systems more robust, foolproof and transparent.
The TGPSC claimed that the UPSC acknowledged the work done by the TGPSC in successfully conducting exams this year and filling more than 13,000 vacancies.
