KARIMNAGAR: Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy alleged that the TGPSC had given ranks to some Group-I aspirants by taking commissions.
Reacting to the TGPSC’s reply that it had the power to change hall ticket numbers separately for prelims and mains examinations, the MLA alleged that the TGPSC had changed hall tickets and also issued ranks by taking commissions.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Kaushik Reddy said the government had said it would conduct the Group-I examination on the lines of UPSC. If that was true, there should be the same hall ticket for both prelims and mains examinations. However, separate hall ticket numbers were issued, he said and sought an explanation.
Commenting on the Commission’s reply that there was possibility of many candidates getting same marks since a huge number of aspirants appeared for the exam, he asked how could so many candidates get the same marks. Stating that 654 candidates got the same marks, the MLA said all candidates having hall ticket numbers in the 470 and 471 series obtained 253 marks.
In the 306 and 307 series, all the candidates got 370.75 marks while all aspirants obtained 270.5 marks in the 438 and 439 series. All the 702 candidates got the same marks of 441 in alternate hall tickets series 276 and 278, Kaushik Reddy said and demanded a clarification.
